Board Meeting

October 20, 2025

Call to Order:   
The SHRMA board meeting began at 4:00 pm virtually. It was presided over by Kansas Guthrie, president and recorded by Heidi Hand, secretary. 

Approval of Minutes:   
The September meeting minutes were reviewed. There was not a quorum present to vote on board business.

Review of Financials:  
Jennifer emailed a September financial update which was reviewed by the board. The group discussed the importance of turning in receipts in a timely manner.

Officer’s Updates:
•    Membership update. Gayle downloaded a new AMP membership list. Heidi will help compare that list to the Salem SHRM list. Gayle will find out how to add members manually to the Salem SHRM list. We can divide the list and help update our website if needed. 
•    Programs update. The December presentation details need to be added to the website. Kansas will check with Deborah for program details. Heidi will reserve meeting space for the 2026 meeting dates.
•    Communications update. Priya is on leave. Heidi will cover sending out membership emails and Jennifer and Kansas will work on posting to social media.

Other Business:
•    Kansas submitted the bylaws to national and received a confirmation they were received.
•    We will plan a date for a strategy and planning meeting. Job descriptions should be reviewed and signed.
•    Kansas is planning lunch meetings with two new potential board members, Alicia and Kirsty.
